God's timing is NEVER late......

My amazing and wonderful husband....

In Early March 2009, he was laid-off from his assembly job. Though he is an excellent worker, the union requires lay-offs to be done by hire date only...no exceptions. Here we were, with four children....one with special needs where we have to have good insurance.....looking at the state of the economy, we realized this could be a long haul...

Two weeks after he was laid-off, we found out our local BOCES had a Machine Trade certification class that would be starting that week. He signed up, the whole time looking for a job. By the end of the six months, he was officially a certified CNC operator, but things were still not looking good job-wise. We kept paying the COBRA, were careful with our money, and kept praying for knowledge of God's will..... praying for the ability to do the next right thing.

This coming Friday marks 16 months....the COBRA only lasts for 18 months....

Today, my amazing husband got hired to be a CNC machinist. It's a good company in this area, with good benefits. The insurance is the same plan offered by his past employer, so they are already familiar with our case.

Here's the kicker.... the probation period is 60 days. This means that, we will be covered by his new job's insurance a mere 4 days before our Cobra coverage would have run out.

God's timing is NEVER late.......

Congratulations on the new job! I also have four kids, and my husband was laid off in November of 08. Fortunately, he received severance for four months, and he was able to find a job just one week after the severance wore off. Otherwise, we didn't know how we would survive on unemployment alone. God's timing is always perfect. We just have to make sure we keep our trust in Him.
