July 4th in my favorite place....

Do you have a place you remember from your childhood, that was special? Maybe you didn't get to visit real often, or stay real long...... but during the time you were there, it was pure magic. You'd swear the air was crisper there ,the sky was bluer..... even now, you can't even think about this place without smiling..

Well, for me, it's my family's camp, located on what we call the "other farm"....

(click to make the photo bigger... it's one of my first panoramas)

Nestled squarely in the middle of nowhere, it's 800 acres of pure fun and beauty. We try to get up to camp 2 - 3 times a summer, but no matter what, we're there for the 4th of July. It's when we celebrate my Grandmother's birthday. She's 83 years young, and this is all she asks for.... she wants for nothing other than happy memories of her family.

What makes this place amazing isn't it's breathtaking beauty though.... that's just icing on an already scrumptious cake! It's the people. I have the most amazing family on the planet, love and acceptance pours out of them. My father is one of six siblings, and the things they invent (zipline, homemade bikes, field surfing, etc, etc, etc.....)lead to days upon days of laughter and smiles!

My next few posts are going to highlight some of my favorite things at camp.... but for now, I leave you with..... well, with what we saw as we left to head back home....
